From time to time, I like to take a few moments to relax, get away from the cares of the world, and enjoy some beautiful music. Here is the first movement of Franz Schubert's Sonata in A-minor for Arpeggione and Piano (D. 821) in an unusual arrangement for two guitars. The performers are two members of the Osaka Guitar Quartet.
(Since the arpeggione, a guitar-like instrument which is held between the knees and played with a bow, is extremely rare, its part is normally performed on a cello. In this remarkable performance, both the cello and piano parts are played on acoustic guitars.)
