Herman Wang, the Washington reporter of the Chattanooga Times Free Press, was home alone working on a story when a home invader broke in, beat him, left him bound and gagged, and stole all of his phones and computers. Fortunately, the thug overlooked his wife's laptop, which was somehow buried under a pile of belongings.
